AL-MUSTAFA ISLAMIC CENTER

The mosque is located in Ruia a few kilometre from Nairobi City Centre on the Nairobi Kangundo road. The center comprises of a mosque and a madrass for the local population. The Imam is Ustadh Athman Juma who serves a s the Imam/Muadhin and the teacher for the Madrassa.

The madrassa has a total of 35 students both boys and girls who study from Saturday to Wednesday on school holidays only and on Saturday and Sunday on school days as many do not leave near the mosque. The madrassa also has Adult classes every day after Fajr and Maghrib prayers taught by Ustadh Juma.

The are more than 200 Turkana boys residing at the center and most of these boys attend the primary school. The number of students have been increasing due to the high standard of the education, facilities provided and the mid-day meal given top all the children at the center.
