KAINUK ISLAMIC CENTER

The border between Turkana and West pokot counties, AL Momin Foundation has built a Centre comprising of a mosque and imams residence within the centre.The town has been for long popularized as the battle ground between the communities and thus for a very long time extremely few institutions set up in the area. The condition led to increased illetracy levels which leave the kids with nothing much to do apart from herding in the forests.

The centre offers religious classes during the weekends as administered by the Imam. The local community refer to the centre for religious matter since It’s the only mosque in the area.
